Mywrit – part1 (A1) New Year Countdown at the Square

Anna, Jennifer, Lin, Mars, Eric, and William stand together in the big square. Many people are around them, waiting for the countdown. The city lights shine, and the air feels full of joy. Mars looks at the clock and says, “It is almost midnight.”

The crowd starts to count: “Ten, nine, eight…” Everyone shouts together. Anna smiles and holds Jennifer’s hand. Lin laughs and waves to the people near him. Eric and William clap and cheer loudly. The voices rise higher: “Three, two, one!”

At midnight, fireworks light up the sky. Red, blue, and gold colors shine above the square. Jennifer says, “Happy New Year!” Mars replies, “Happy New Year, my friends!” Anna and Lin hug, Eric and William smile, and the crowd cheers. The square is full of laughter, music, and bright lights. Everyone feels happy and safe, ready for a new year.
